Camtek is a developer and manufacturer of high-end inspection and metrology equipment for the semiconductor industry. Camtek’s systems inspect IC and measure IC features on wafers throughout the production process of semiconductor devices, covering the back-end-of-line (BEOL) of the front-end and mid-end and up to the beginning of assembly (Post Dicing). The systems serve various manufacturing stages, including inspection and metrology of bumps in the mid-end, inspection of wafers, and inspection of post-diced wafers in the back end (Assembly). Camtek’s systems incorporate proprietary advanced image processing software and algorithms, as well as advanced electro‑optics and precision mechanics.
Camtek operates as a single segment, focusing on the development and manufacture of inspection and metrology equipment. The company does not disclose separate reporting segments.
Camtek offers a broad range of systems for automated optical Inspection and Metrology of semiconductor wafers. Current product lines include the Eagle platform, the Hawk platform, and the MicroProf platform. The Hawk, launched in February 2025, is a new cutting-edge platform engineered for advanced packaging: Chiplets, HBM and Hybrid Bonding, supporting detection of 150 nanometer defects size and measurement of 500 million micro bumps at pitches less than 12 micron. The Eagle G5, launched in September 2024, offers higher throughput and new optimized optics for Multi-RDL, FOWLP, 2.5D, and CMOS Image Sensors. The Eagle-i system family is designed for high volume 2D inspection, while the Eagle-AP system family addresses the fast-growing advanced packaging market with 2D and 3D inspection and metrology capabilities. The MicroProf® AP is a fully automated wafer metrology tool for a wide range of applications at different 3D packaging process steps. The Golden Eagle is designed mainly for Fanout Panel-Level-Package (FO-PLP) applications. During 2026, Camtek will offer its AI technology that includes inspection and automatic defects classification.
Camtek has established a global distribution and support network throughout the territories in which it sells, installs and supports its products, including the Asia Pacific region, North America and Europe. The company primarily utilizes its own employees to provide customer support services. Camtek has a distribution rights agreement with a Japanese company, under which this company sells, installs and supports its products in Japan. Customers are semiconductor manufacturers, including outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) providers, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), and wafer level packaging subcontractors. In 2025, one customer accounted for 11% of total revenues. As of December 31, 2025, Camtek’s installed base was over 3,000 systems.
The markets that Camtek serves are highly competitive and have significant global market participants, some with greater resources. Competitors may be able to respond more quickly to new or emerging technologies, develop additional or superior products, benefit from greater economies of scale, offer more aggressive pricing, or devote greater resources to the promotion of their products. Other competitors are local smaller competitors in the markets Camtek operates, which target the low-end market and may offer products at lower prices.
Camtek’s strategic priorities include improving defect detection capabilities while reducing the number of false alarms, simplifying operation, and reducing the level of user expertise required. The company also focuses on increasing the throughput of its Inspection and Metrology systems, providing unique technological solutions to customers, and adding capabilities to expand its market segments. Additionally, Camtek is focusing on leveraging its core technologies, expertise, and experience into continually enhancing the value to the user and the return on investment from its products.
As of December 31, 2025, Camtek had 193 employees engaged in R&D, 163 of whom are based in its headquarters in Israel and 30 in its facilities in Germany. Additionally, 315 employees were engaged in worldwide marketing and support efforts, including support and marketing administration staff.
