Ecopetrol S.A. disclosed that its Board of Directors authorized the postponement of the start date of the unpaid leave previously granted to CEO Ricardo Roa Barragán. The original leave was scheduled to begin on May 28, 2026, for 30 calendar days. However, due to a medical leave reported on May 26, 2026, also for 30 calendar days, the unpaid leave will now commence on June 27, 2026, after the medical leave and remaining vacation period conclude. The Board decided to maintain Juan Carlos Hurtado Parra, the First Alternate to the CEO, as acting Chief Executive Officer. The company affirmed that it will continue operations according to its business strategy, indicating no disruption to management continuity.
