Anterix Inc., through its wholly-owned subsidiary PDV Spectrum Holding Company, LLC, entered into a spectrum license sale agreement with NorthWestern Energy on March 30, 2026, announced April 6, 2026. This transaction represents a key milestone as the first planned deployment of Anterix's 10 MHz broadband configuration in the 900 MHz band, enabled by the FCC's February 2026 approval expanding Anterix's spectrum allocation. The $7.7 million total consideration includes an initial payment upon signing and final payment upon FCC license grants and assignment between 2026 and 2033. Anterix's obligations include clearing incumbent interference and collaborating on FCC approvals, with standard protections like refunds for non-delivery. This deal positions NorthWestern Energy as Anterix's tenth utility spectrum customer, validating demand for Anterix's 900 MHz assets amid the shift to private utility-controlled networks for grid modernization and energy transition.
